I am working in customer service and as an empath.Worse thing to do is be surrounded by cranky people all day without coming unglued.I have managed pretty well 95 % of the time.I have a job offer in a warehouse no customer interaction, but I have a problem that I can't solve but I want to fix it.Okay new job wants me to start right now but I have good people at the place I'm at.I like them but come on it's customer service less pay and I get treated crappy. This is good benefits away from people and good pay.I literally can only give one day notice. How can I turn this around.Be honest and brutal I can take it.Plus I still want to shop there.

Better pay...less people...and benefits...to be fair to your current employer you should give at least 2 weeks notice....i'd be a little worried if someone wouldn't give me time to leave my current place of work on good terms...but for a job with benefits...I think i'd take the chance....but the choice is yours...quit or stay...lol...what does your gut say?

My gut says quit.I feel bad though because I will leave them in a bind.

Ya...I know...I get that...i'd feel bad too...but a job with benefits...more pay...they'll live...did you ask if they'd wait 2 weeks so you could give the current employer notice?..

They can hire other people. They won't wait and I have waited for this job for 4 months.

Well...that's it then...you gotta do what you gotta do...just screw up your courage and get it over with.

Will you enjoy working in a warehouse with no customer interaction? Sometimes it sounds like it will be peaceful, but it's lonely. If you honestly think you will enjoy it a lot more than your present job, go for it!

Don't feel bad about leaving them in a bind. They haven't treated you well. You don't owe them anything. Ideally, I like to give a few weeks' notice but if you can't do that, you can't. You need to take care of yourself, not your employer.

I enjoy it.I like people but I prefer being alone at my job.I get talked to a lot because I send out packages and everyone checks with me.
