Letter to a friend

By Logan, 2015-11-13
We all suffer. But trying to save our suffering loved ones could be compared to embracing a thrashing drowning victim. Deep down we all know to throw a life-preserver and not ourselves. But we also desperately want to show them the way out. Be warned that the moment you take their hand, you take on their delusion, and you have signed your own death sentence. Our true power comes from being the awareness that recognizes our emotions and our loved ones emotions, but does not allow them to control our lives. Empathy and compassion are the ability to be present and understanding -- not from begetting more suffering, that is just self defeating.I wrote the above for my empath friend who was going through an anxiety attack about what we all have experienced, clinging to a loved one who doesn't care for us, and yet we still desperately try to fix them. In the process of which we lose ourselves-- our integrity, and we are drowning with them in a black ocean of unconsciousness.

My world is Blue

By Logan, 2015-11-06

Your blue is a spaceship. Somewhere inside the thick metal walls, a girl is wrapped up and naked in her favorite costume. Somewhere in the body of that ship, she is suspended in the strange black bloodstream of the universe. They say blood is blue before red, but I wonder, what is the color inside your vessel. Vessels you sleep in, vessels that travel from the heart to the brain of your ship, and dreams seem like forever when your traveling at the speed of thought.
Blue is the planet that is entreating your spaceship, begging you to step out of your costume and dance, until blue water is filling up your ears and your eyes.
In a dream you forget to close the hatch, and a faraway planet moves in closer, faster, almost swallowing your tiny body in blue. A weary blue face watches you sleep, and a strange new color is formed as you drift off together, a star alight, in the lonely black body of the universe.

The Art Of Empathy (Carla Mclaren)

By Logan, 2015-11-04

Reading: "The Art of Empathy" by Carla Mclaren! I love it but I dont enjoy her abandonment of spirituality, I think it is important that we know our intuition comes from a deeper connection with the world around us and not just from our emotional knowledge. Otherwise it's a brilliant book!:)
