I do not wish to sound insensitive here but I fail to see the brouhaha. Zimbabwe is a very very corrupt country with a highly corrupt and inept leadership. Inflation is rampant and their currency is not worth the paper its printed on. I can expect very little from them. People are being murdered just for farming the land that feeds them and it hardly makes the news.. That said...So the dentist seemed to have been dealing with reputable people and he clearly wasn't. It still is no reason to demand his extradition to what? Murdering an american in a foreign country? That would be an even greater crime. After all it was just a lion. I would not turn him over to them. Animal rights people can be so emotionally blind sometimes. A man's life is worth way more than a lion's life. Besides, nothing EVER DIES! We should know this. I personally would not kill animals for sport. It goes against my energy. I tend to nurture life where ever found.
But it clearly says to me that some took this opportunity to push their own agenda at the expense of a human being's life who thought to be doing things by their current laws. That is more of the crime here than just a lion's life. In a lions' society a male lion is just a lazy bully who just pushes his weight around. The lionesses do all the work. The lions will even kill cubs when they take over a pride because its not their own progeny. That is what lions do. Watch Animal Planet some times. So there is lots of posturing here by people with ulterior motives for personal reasons.
I will not feed into it at all and resist all insanity by he animal rights people, which can be irrational sometimes. I feel that this has other emotional elements that have been planned by those that think they control. I caution all not to feed into it. Sure a lion lost his life but they are many. So I must ask are these lions endangered? Here is a quick answer
"The quick answer is, it depends on which organization you turn to. The World Wildlife Foundation lists the South China tiger as extinct in the wild, leatherback turtles as critically endangered, and brown bears as a least concern as far as conservation status. But while donors can adopt a lion, it makes no mention of lions on itsspecies directory. The African Wildlife Foundation lists the big cat asvulnerable. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service lists notes Asias lions areendangeredand hasproposedthe same status be applied to African lions."
Proposed is not endangered.
So I must ask why all the brouhaha and why are they trying to crucify this doctor? I am not on anyone's side other than reason and sanity. Nothing that happens in the Media is without a reason and careful consideration and it bears those questions answered. Many here will react emotionally and that may be a calculated expected response in the whole affair.
So before you all react, Think! WHOM DOES THIS SERVE? The answer might surprise.
And I apologize to those that were offended by this my response to the story in the news..
