I'm wondering if I can offer an alternative view of depression that I have come upon only within the last year.
In short, I was given the message that states of anxiety and depression have a purpose to serve, in your field, and on your path.
Whether it be a special time that gives you a much-needed break from the outside energies, by forcing you to stay with yourself,
Or perhaps it's a bio-state that your body took on, at the behest of your subconscious.
(For example, often I find that if I'm begging for peace and quiet, or solitude, yet I am seemingly incapable of giving that to myself, because I'm too busy supporting everyone but myself, I will suddenly get sick or depressed or injured, so that I am 'forced' by my own body to finally grant my unspoken wish for 'me time').
I find this especially true when I'm at the cusp of a significant breakthrough or change in myself, my life, my path, etc.
I 'need' my depression as a tool, to provide myself the space to cocoon and process and grieve and release, before taking on my next metamorphosis.
Think about the root of the word "depression."
To depress something, is to flatten it, as if to simplify many layers, down to a single/solitary image.
This makes sense, when discussing energies, or downloaded messages, or lessons that need to be thoroughly processed in the body.
Therefore, outside stimuli must be removed, so as to avoid distraction.
Now that I see depression this way, I actually relish it. I have gratitude for it, and I am able to process my work faster, more consciously, and to return back to work as an empath, much more quickly.

Human and Dolphin Empaths
Have you ever read the Celestine Prophecy? You might really connect with it. I ended up adoring the audio version much more, with all the voice acting.
But I can't explain TOO much about how this connects to the empaths being the next evolution, without spoliers.
I have found so much wisdom in this story, and how the different insights apply to our lives as empaths.

Best Tips or Stories for/of Self Discovery?
Howdy! (It's been a while, I know).
I have been on a path of self-discovery this year. Lots of learning. Having trouble putting it into 'words' language. Emotions and telepathy do it much better justice. (I bet most empaths understand this plight)
Hosting my first self-love/empowerment retreat in May. This first one is for women.
Part of my difficulty with human language is how to convert my learning to teaching tools these women will be able to use.
What are your favorite tips and tricks you've discovered so far during your journey? Or what beautiful, amazing, or scary and strange stories do you feel like sharing?

overbearing an empatg quality?
Anyone told they're overbearing? No friends come out and say it. But I know.I think if the theory about being "made" into an empathy by childhood causes is true, my never-satisfied mother helped me become this way.You know a lot of us sometimes ask "what's wrong with me?"I ask myself "Why don't I have anything sincere to contribute besides overbearing knowledge/research? And if I stop, or no one needs my knowledge, what is the point of me?"THIS is the reason for my awful habit of posting link after link EVERYWHERE. I'm trying to validate my existence through the rest of you, they, everyone else.I know my path to fix it, but I was curious if it was just me.

I actually know all this, but the concept I was trying to convey remains. Chiron: The Wounded Healer
How many of you have heard of the story/concept of Chiron? The Centaur from Greece.
"The myth of Chiron tells the story of
how the centaur was wounded by an arrow from Heracles bow.
Chiron does not die; instead, he suffers excruciating pain for
the rest of his life. It was because of his wound that Chiron became
known as a legendary healer in ancient Greece."
Only recently was I given and name/face for this phenomenon that Iknew was why my life is always so much more dramatic than any of those around me.
But...can we become healers if we have not been wounded? It would seem that most healers have experienced great pain and suffering and are here to help others release their pain and create balance. The 'wounds' - of many lifetimes need to heal.... This is the spiritual pulse of the world grid.
But what happens when the Wounded Healer is healed and has had enough drama with healing? It is then they are shown the truth behind the illusion of reality.
Who is The Wounded Healer? Many articles and books have been written about 'The Wounded Healer.' It is the person who has gone through suffering, sometimes great, and as a result of that process has become a source of great wisdom, healing power and inspiration for others. In fact, the archetypal wounded healer undergoes a transformation as a result of their wound, their suffering and pain. They can actually transcend it, and successfully lead themselves to a path of service. It is as if the wound itself helps you drive yourself to an inner journey that becomes the transformation itself. One strips away the selfish, ego-based feeling of being all alone in our wound and expands to see others and how if one chooses a different role, one can help.
The Wounded Healer is often the Victim - He who must suffer the wounds of life to understand. Do you set yourself up to be a victim?
What do you think? Are we all this way to become the healers? I feel we are. I think we're on our way too

I highly doubt you are alone! Each person's path is designed for them and them alone.
Certain items like crystals, reiki, meditation, religion, etc may not work for one person, where it may truly assist another. The same can be said of "legal" drugs, IE those that are pharmaceutical in nature. While some of my friends cling dearly to their 'meds' or 'cocktail', others think that pharmaceuticals are killing us.
"Illegal" drugs, or "substances" are often left to last for exploration for fear of the law. Many of those who have experienced the great awakenings that these medicines offer, (many, used for thousands of years now), believe that the laws in place were actually created to sustain a capitalist system and keep the rich in power of those that are ignorant.
I for one am very open about my experiences, because they have resulted in communication from Above. I was taught great secrets that changed my life forever. But please don't think that my 'sharing' is anything other than that. I in no way mean to advocate 'drugs' any more than I might suggest a book you could read that helped me.
So it really is every person's own choices/beliefs that lead them to try these different items or paths on their spiritual journey on this crazy ball accelerating a million miles an hour through endless stars. Whatever works for you is best for you.

Approaching issues you shouldn't know about
I completely understand what you're discussing. This is definitely a sensitive situation. If they're not voluntarily revealing the truth of the matter to your family, it may be for a reason.
Maybe they haven't decided "IT" fully yet.
Maybe they're concerned about worrying your sister when she's trying to finish school.Junior year is tough on a LOT of students with the pressures of keeping up your grades for college, while starting to experience a huge desire to just throw it all away. It's also when you start considering changing friends/significant others etc.
So maybe they're protecting her, and letting it sink in over time.
Whatever the reason, if you DO demand this conversation of your father, do it in private. He'll be more open to discussion if he's not concerned about others' hearing what he has to say. And if he asks you to keep what he says to yourself, DO IT.
I know it's tough "knowing" more than you were supposed to, and you really want to just resolve the problem. It's part of who we are. But sometimes, you just have to let others' follow their own paths, regardless of you "knowing better" or "knowing more".

An imbalance in Serotonin or Melatonin can cause this. I was given the SSRI Paxil for insomnia/anxiety. Worked for a while, then stopped working. They piled on Trazodone. Stopped working.
Finally I got off of Paxil, took control of my life and health (food, exercise, depression).....and one more thing. Ayahuasca. I went through 3 ceremonies with Grandmother, and have been sleeping ever since.
Every now and again, when I'm stressed/depressed, or I drink a lot of alcohol/caffeine etc, I'll have trouble sleeping that night. But if I keep up my healthy regimen, I sleep like a baby.
This is after 30 years of insomnia.
I am very guilty of this. What I have found is, if the universe is giving you an opportunity, it is your path.
I ignored something similar to your scenario (but with a car), and the universe totaled the vehicle. I see it now as a "There, decision made FOR you."
I know you want to help others, but sometimes helping yourself IS the way to help others. And if you don't spend the time to care for yourself voluntarily, the universe will force you to.
I like your idea. Be honest, and upfront, that you need this for yourself. If they truly care for you, they will understand (even if it's not right away).

Definitely possible! SO possible. Energies and the body's reactions are not only controlled by the brain or supposed 'consciousness.' It is quite normal that you may know something is wrong for this person before they have processed it yet.
Experiences have happened around me where I finally had to confront the person if I believed they were in trouble. They are often surprised. Their eyes go wide 0_o and "I had no idea!" Sometimes that is part of being a healing entity my friend <3
Remember too, you can practice grounding and shielding so you don't have to "feel" what they're feeling. But it is highly probably you'll always be able to read others quite well.
I personally consider empathy (generally speaking) to be a form of clairsentience/claircognizance mixture that could be strengthened by ALL humans someday. Us most especially, as we are 'tuned in' like an emotional/energetic antennae.

Grounding Techniques: What are your favorites?
Thought after some of the lovely discussions we have been sharing over the last week plus, that a discussion on grounding techniques might be super helpful. What are your favorite techniques, and which ones don't work for you?
What is grounding you ask? I'll paste a lovely little article here to get us started....
So what is grounding?
In electricity, a device is grounded when it is connected to the ground so it allows excess energy to leave the system.
We may be emotionally grounded when our energies and emotions move through our grounded body and the excess of them get discharged to the ground. This helps us to maintain our center, and to cope with difficult situations.
My two favorite techniques are as follows:
- Picturing myself sitting on the ground leaning my back against a giant tree. While I'm sitting by the tree, my own beautiful roots grow down into the ground, deep, deep, deeper.
- Picturing myself connecting to the molten core of the earth. A beautiful orange warm energy connects me and fills me.

Have you ever thought about some type of energy healing as an outlet for the channeling? The only reason I ask is that Reiki (not perfect for every person) was my selection. That set of attunements added a much needed boost to my own shielding. I was able to go in crowds without anxiety once more. Quite refreshing.
But for example, Elise said that Reiki didn't quite resonate with her as her selected energy healing modality. Maybe another one? <3
Hey all you lovelies!
There is a name for what you are all experiencing! It is called "Pauli effect" This is a signal that your energy is blocked somewhere! It is building up and therefore zapping out to whatever electronics it reach.
If your chakras are out of balance, or you're not properly grounded, you become like the sun. You'll emit short bursts of energy like a solar flare. Just like a solar flare, these bursts are capable of disrupting electronics AND can be felt by other people like us!
Some people are aware of the energy they can build and for others it is a complete surprise when it occurs. When you have blockages that might stop the release of your energy, it builds like a thunderstorm and can create havoc.
Michelle mentions above that it shows you can be a strong healer, absolutely agree! WE can consciously learn with practice, to balance and harness this energy. This energy could then be used to heal in many forms.
Always remember, being an empath to ground, shield, practice! That may become my signature on this forum for funsies

Sorry for the delay. RL got in the way! hahahaha. So there are many ways to hopefully help you finish the conversation. Studying dreams orastral projection might aid you in being more lucid during these 'trips' elsewhere. Also, it could be handy for the next while to have a small notebook/pen with you at all times. I have linked to a little Moleskin notebook that I personally love. Obviously find one that feels good to you.
As soon as you 'return,' immediately write whatever you can remember, like writing a dream when you first wake up. (Which, I might add, we should all be doing anyway )
In theory, you would then be able to piece together not only the discussion itself, but how to either prevent or purposely control returning to this place.
I am very interested in this, but I have questions:
- Who do you mostly talk to? What do they look or feel like? Human? Not?
- Where do you usually meet them? We know somewhere other than your surroundings. Any theme as to where you're going? Same place, different people?
- Any environmental factors that are the same when this occurs? Where and when YOU are? Moon cycles, foods you eat, sleeping amounts?
- What do you typically discuss? Again, any themes or recurring concepts?
I'm trying to discover through these items who you're talking to and why. My theory is you're visiting elsewhere. You could be projected to another realm, another time, even somewhere else on earth. Perhaps once we discover when/where, we could find the why?

I definitely hear you! However, the brain is by nature an animal. The lengths that humans will go to, in order to survive could be extremely violent and without morals. They call it the 'reptilian brain.'
The UFC Fighter Dan Hardy has spent a lot of hours studying his reptilian brain due to his job as a fighter. He too, is not a violent man without morals to guide him; but he is aware that there is always a part of the human being that is much darker and animalistic than we'd ever like to admit.
I too, know how you feel. I have a strange talent for awful thoughts. Things that my higher self would NEVER want to think. Mean, violent things. I've had this issue since I was a child. I wonder if my ego is fighting for survival against my higher self dissolving it. Have you looked into Power of Now? Eckhart Tolle. He discusses "The Watcher," which is quite similar to Frane's 'analysis.'
However, the key difference that Mr. Tolle teaches is NOT to analyze it. Not to engage in anyway with the brain based mind. Rather, practice feeling that there are two of you. One is the daily 'you.' I put quotations here because our conscious roving mind is NOT us! It is a brain, a computer.
Our higher self is who we really are. That soulful/spirit visitor that resides inside our body. This higher self was taken over by the brain/ego long ago as the dominating self. This is unfortunate. The brain is a computer that is absolutely designed for self-preservation above all else! This means that it will run with any thoughts it comes up with, regardless of your desire to control such things.
I have learned that practicing the 'Power of Now' where we 'watch' the brain from our soul, really upsets the ego. VERY MUCH upsets the ego.
How dare you defy me?! Have I not been good to you? Have I not kept you alive? Without me, you are nothing.
Pardon my language, but bullshit. I have proven to myself that you can be in control of the brain/ego if you practice separation. Watch your thoughts, don't judge them, don't try to change them.
Like a parent that is bemused by the antics of a child, just watch. Continue your work as Lightworker discusses. Do not be wrapped up in the ego's childish demands for the limelight. YOU ARE NOT YOUR BRAIN/EGO!
Slowly, you will find peace when the brain learns that it is okay to be second fiddle. The computer that is our mind was never meant to be our primary self. It is supposed to be just what it is: a computer.
Don't let it use you...use it.
Health and Wellness Center Goal: Wild Willow
I have lost three friends to cancer in as many months. I spent time talking with them about pain management and processing themselves for their next station. It was sad to see how quickly they had decided to pass away. Many of them, it was because no one wants to go through chemo a second time.
This is my new dream, goal, and driving force. If you have any advice on creating a reality, I welcome guidance from you: my family and friends.
