Talking Weird Stuff

Psychic and Paranormal

@the-importance-of-being-jonny

Gautama The Buddha has been known to say that it is through illusions we encounter enlightenment. Illusions are the source of pain, and it is through pain and illusions the light comes through. There is a very similar idea in Christianity and many other religions.
Pain is the path of the prophets for prophets learn to transmute pain. There is no need to search for pain however, for each 'prophet' has enough pain for entire lifetimes. Prophets are chosen because of their potential to withstand pain, and keep a compassionate heart. Eventually a prophet will transcend pain and start transmuting with light. He will learn to fly with his wings.
Yet perhaps a prophet is more a rose than anything else. A rose, when crushed, spreads its perfume to the ones that crush it. A scent of freedom in a fleeting moment can become an avalanch of desire to liberate lives.
Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth were words of Wisdom itself.

I messed everything up

Empath

Hi calmidwester,
That's a really interesting story, still first of all, know that you didn't mess anything up. Something could have gone wrong, but nothing's gone wrong yet. The attraction you feel with your therapist is very understandable: you want to get to know each other. The law of attraction works by bringing similar people together. There is another law that tends to bring opposite people together. Part of the reason you feel so attracted to your therapist is because the two of you have so much in common. On top of that, he's probably quite spiritual, making him just more attractive to the spiritually inclined. Yet, I won't blame him, for what he feels. He's probably in pain and hoping maybe a new relationship could remedy that, until of course ethics get in the way. Hoorah for ethics. Likewise, no one can blame you for what you feel, it's absolutely natural. Still, to live a calm peaceful life some perspective need to be gained.
When we see only similarities, we tend to be attracted. When we see only differences, we tend to be repulsed. So, the easy way to start being less attracted to someone is to start noticing differences. I'm not saying to start hating someone, that just gets you into love/hate. I'm saying balance the similarities you see with the differences. This will neutralize the attraction and enable the relationship to be more stable and more healthy.
One good thing about admiring people is you learn to sincerely appreciate certain characteristics. There really is no need to feel guilty about admiring someone. Admire, appreciate and understand. Then once you're done appreciating the similarities, start to notice and appreciate the differences.
For those who have a partner, still there is no reason to feel guilty. Whatever you see in the person you admire, look for it in your partner. Sometimes there are so many obstacles in a relationship that its hard to find similarities by observing the partner. That's why the universe sent us this person we could admire. It's easier to find something we like in a fresh setting. Once we know what we like, simply look for it in our partner. We were obviously attracted to our partner before, so there must be a reason why. This method could really help to bring balance to that relationship.
Now I should summarize all this:
Understand there's no need to feel guilty.
Appreciate what you see and experience.
Then look for it in what you already have and appreciate that too.
Appreciate both similarities and differences.

Love and light ;)

Sense of Smell??

Empath

Interesting discussion. Clair-olfactory rarely gets much attention it seems, but yes, I do agree, it exists. I jave had experience before where people with certain emotions would give off certain smells. Negative emotions give off unpleasant odours, while positive emotions give off pleasant aromas. The way to recognize what the scents meant was either through coupling with the othe claires, most notably claircognizance, or by empathic observation.
It's a theory, but perhaps when you smell other people's smell on you, it might mean that their energy is still connected to yours. Try smelling after some energy clearing to see if clearing their energy also clears the smell.

Questioning The Empath-Narcissist Connection

Empath

@angel
Very good explanation, very well done.
I just like to add that balance is resonance, harmonic resonance. And the more people in resonance, the more people at peace with each other. They will become conscious of a oneness of all things. Eventually the number of conscious people (people with a conscience, hehe) will reach a critical mass, and an avalanche effect may unfold, possibly. No fears, no resentments means no more wars or suffering, possibly :).

Struggling Empath

Arts

@hop-daddy
That's a good story, I like how you transmuted what would otherwise be a bad day, into a good day.

@corey-easton
I think its great that you are working to help people get spiritual. With the shape of the world right now, spirituality is definitely in demand and supply really should try to catch up. Yet manifesting it into the world, we realize that a lot of things move on money. Once again this is just a transmutation, for money is just energy.
First of all, let's play around with a few words, lets exchange money for energy. So we take your sentence and it becomes 'Got so much love but no ebergy in the bank'. Take a while to ponder on that, is there anything that needs to be done? Lets take this a step further, love is energy and an energy source. So exchanging with love, we get 'Got so much love, but no love in the bank'. Doesn't it become simpler? It now just becomes a matter of putting some of that abundant love into the bank. Lets now change love with energy, since love is in fact a source of energy. So now, the statement become 'Got all this energy, but no energy in the bank'. Taking in all 3 statements, we can see that we need to transmute all that love into money, then put some in the bank.
Let's start with love, can you feel it all around? Do you feel it inside you? Do you radiate love like the sun? That's great. Now as you radiate that love to everything around you, see as they grow and eventually bear golden coins as fruits. Spend some time to visualize that. See all that gold, grown by love, just ripe for picking.
Now then, as you go through daily life, see everything in the form of money. I'm not saying that you need to know the cost of everything. What you want to do is see everything as if they are made out of dollar bills and gold coins. If possible, do this 24/7. Remember, everything comes from love energy, and energy can be transmuted into anything. Now we are just seeing it take the form of money and the shape of a table, or chair, or person. So, if someone asks if they are mafe of money, this is true the sense that money is energy. So do this consistently, see everything as money. Back when I was selling funds, my mentor told me to go out and see everything in the form of commissions. I believe it worked, because commissions were on my mind, and I developed a sort of sense to sniff out commissions.
Finally, theres a joke about jewish people where they will stop anything to pick up a coin. I actually tried this when I was broke. When I was broke, I decided I would go out and pick up every coin I came across. After a few hours, it seemed that I could more than survive just by picking up coins. That experience gave me an understanding that money, wealth and opportunies are all around but often overlooked. More importantly, my subconscious understood that too, and my money magnet turned on. The next day, I made some money, and even more in the days coming. Oh yes, the coins I picked up were enough to by a decent meal and a nice drink. They really lifted my spirits, and good spirits go a long way.
Ok then, all the best and have fun with transmutation.

p.s: I read your post about your dream, so really there's no need to worry about what you are doing right now. What you do right now will eventually lead to some other things. So just stay in the moment and follow the rainbow bricked road. Btw, rounded, 42 is the angle whereby light fans out into a rainbow.

Massage Points for Longevity and Health

Library of Light

Great post Bing!

Recently I have been having intense pain in parts of my body. After some research and experimentation, I concluded that foot massage is nothing short of magical for pain release. I have also tried the ear point for releasing stress. I find that it is very much like a stress release valve. Massage or rubbing with stones releases stress and heaviness amazingly fast.

The Zu San Li spot sounds quite interesting and I'm looking forward to try that one out.

Thanks for the great post Bing.

Seeing Faces And Numbers Everywhere

Psychic and Paranormal

@hop-daddy
I see that you say the images pop up more often when you are filled with other people's energy. When this happen, you feel anxious and your empathic abilities seem to increase. That is a good observation, and what that could mean is that an excess of energy is triggering your inner mechanism. You used the word overloaded, and that fits quite well. When you are overloaded, an imbalance occurs, causing anxiety. Anxiety happens when the root is unbalanced. Expanding / developing the root will enable the overall system to handle heavier burdens. The images frequently happen when there is an excess if energy, this tells us that some of that excess energy is 'leaking' to the upper senses. Unfortunately since the energy used is 'leaked' lower energy and not refined energy, it causes distorted images. These distorted images happen when the internal 'image maker' receives garbled information. This is much like what happens if you feed an electronic circuit with erratic power, it will produce erratic results. Thus we have gargoyle images. Bear in mind, at that time, the root is overloaded, thus anxiety will tend to influence any inner interpretation.
You might observe that this is very different from images you see during meditation. Meditation refines your energies, suitable for use in the finer upper senses.
I have had experiences where I could see 'videos' showing on peoples foreheads. These happen when I was anxious. When I ask the people certain questions, I find that the videos show near exactly what they were thinking and that was shocking, to say the least. The ability however eventually lead to instability. It was many years later when I finally understood. Looking back, I might have been able to develop the ability if I maintained balance. I am not very keen on having such abilities though, so all's for the best.
Stable ability to connect, receive messages and send messages however does seem quite beneficial, much like how smart phones are able to provide additional information on the go.
As for the meanings of the gargoyles, it means distorted information, so be careful of your inner stability. One thing to try here, I feel, are green stones. Green jade is exceptionally good in releasing energies and transmuting at the same time. Green jade can be worn over the chest like an amulet, or on the wrist as a bracelet. When feeling uneasy, rub the green jade around the spot where there is uneasy energy. After a few minutes it's possible to feel a somewhat warm current flowing. Some people feel it as inner electricity. This tells us that excess energy has been transmuted and flow is returned.

Sound Healer and Shielding

Empath

Hi @bunnigirl
Food is very important, as what you eat eventually becomes you. First of all, vitamins are important, especially Bs and Ds. Furthermore, since you are doing healing work, having enough water is important. Besides plain water, try teas and infusions. I do recommend green tea (try jasmine green tea), pennywort tea and juniper berry tea. Green tea detoxes, and taken with some moderate caffeine, like puerh tea is effective in keeping the mind clear. Pennywort is good even if you don't do any healing. Its great for anxieties and helps circulation. Juniper berries is great for digestion and bloating. Wgen doing healing, bloating can occur as we absorb any negative energy. Juniper berry tea help here. Besides tea, watercress is good in healing and recuperation. It is the healing food of choice for hippocrates. Besides these, honey and olive oil. You can even mix honey and olive oil and put it in your hair if you want to try. Also, its good to put a pritective layer of olive oil on your skin. It not only protects against dryness, but also absorption of negative energy. Before going to bed, rub some olive oil on the soles of your feet, on top of the feet, the ankles, your shins and lower legs, until below the knees. Also, as a healer, being able to release energy is quite important. Rubbing with a green jade foot scraper helps release blockages and trapped energy.
Other than that, with sound healing, it is quite possible to do healing with energy moving one way, from you towards the patient, thus little need for you to absorb their energy.

Seeing Faces And Numbers Everywhere

Psychic and Paranormal

Hi @hop-daddy
Numbers are always an interesting topic. Number have told us a great deal about 'secrets'. Pythagoras delved into numbers to find meaning to union, love, beauty, perfection and manifestation. There is gnosticism in the agnostic nature of numbers. Numbers are bare apparent, yet are also apparently mysterious.
As above so below. The hidden, the manifest, the first and the last are all one. The father, the son and thw holy spirit are one. Yet while 'He' encapsulates all, he is none of them singularly. They are merely faces/modes of 'he'.
Lets look at a projector doing its job. The image on the screen is the son, the beams of light from the projector is the holy ghost, and the image in the projector is the father. Yet he is not any of them, he is the essence of each. Not the projector, not the screen and not the light individually. These are all faces that bring to light the inseparable unified essence. He is the fourth and the zero.
As above so below, as inside so too outside. Most time it is hard to discern our internal condition. Yet there is a very simple way, observe the external. Starting to see things, faces, numbers, within other things means that internally, we are starting to 'see' meaning within meaning. When I say starting, I mean that the process has started, has nit yet completed and is still moving towards completion. Once the process completes, there should have access to deeper insight. There should be an ability to read between the letters. A more complete understanding, a more direct understanding. As far as the process goes, there really is no worry, it will complete by itself. The only thing we need to concern ourselves with is that we are comfortable as the process unfolds. I think for you, hop-daddy, this is not a problem since you already understand the importance of fundamentals. Here fundamentals means grounding and cleaning.
One other thing that I'd like to take this chance to talk a bit about is the difference of energy between the lower chakras and upper chakras. The upper chakras use energy in forms finer and more subtle than the lower chakras. The heart chakra is where energy is refined for use by the upper chakras. It is possible to force-feed the upper chakras with coarser energy, this however will have detrimental side effects. What this means is that it is possible to turbo-boost clairvoyance, yet it will have side effects. The proper way is to refine energy, creating a supply of finer energy, suitable for higher chakra use, and ground the excess. In the seven chakra system, the heart chakra is the fourth chakra, counting from the crown or from the root. It is the middle chakra.
Observing and analyzing this system we can see that a stable way for spiritual development is to move from the root towards the upper chakra. This means that initially, life is about mastering survival after which comes pleasure, then achievements. Having acheived some level of success, a person then starts to understand, and accept, becoming tolerant, this is the heart chakra. Having developed the heart chakra, energy is transmuted, whether consciously or subconsciously for use by the upper chakras. In developing the throat chakra, a person starts to speaks out, expressing views in eloquent ways. With the third eye chakra a person becomes contemplative, naturally reflecting on the lesson of life and gaining insights, possibly delving into philosophy. It is possible that some people jump stages. It is even possible that some people start from the crown. Any which way they want to live their life is fine. Just that starting from root to the crown is quite stable in all stages.

@just-stevie
The uderlying concept, as above so below, is valid here. There is an inner development. Yet whereas hop-daddy is with a 'steady' 4, yours is probably a more 'exciting' ride. There are 3 ways to approach this, enjoy it, change it or 'speak'. Any choice is fine, exciting is enjoyable if you can handle it ;) .

Hello

Empath

Hello finding peace.
You know what they say, life begins at 40.
First off, you are not an ugly person. Like gemstones, its hard to see how pretty they are before you cut and polish them. Having said that, every gemstone is beautiful but once cut and polished. That's much like how people are, some are quite polished and some still need to be polished.
The thing about the beauty of gemstones is not the gem itself, but how it interacts with light. Likewise, a 'beautiful' person has a way of interacting with life. When you shine intense light on a polished gem, it sparkles. So too it is with polished people, they sparkle in the intensity of life. So, just remember, you are not ugly. Perhaps your past actions seem ugly, this is true, because it is a reflection from an unpolished self. If you just polish yourself, you will see how beautifully life can sparkle through you.

@empphire
The key is to be consistent. Spend some time daily in nature, relaxed and in the moment. Do this daily for 21 or 40 days and your inner vibrations should align more strongly.
The Buddha has been known to say that a person who is aware of his breath for an hour or more is already enlightened. Who knows, perhaps you will achieve higher levels of enlightenment from your daily time in nature.

How do you perceive others emotions?

Empath

@hop-daddy
Yes, I do notice that energy. Sometimes its interesting to explore that energy, and it seems the energy does affect people in the room. Most time I will help the energy clear by moving my hand in a circular motion, as if to help the energy flow. Sometimes I feel that I have to do something more, like brush the room, wipe any dust and tidy up a bit. Sometimes I sit or stand somewhere in the room and feel or have a small conversation with the room. Interestingly, it seems Dr Hew Len, Joe Vitales friend and Ho'oponopono mentor, interacts with rooms and energy too, though it seems at a much more advanced level.

How do you perceive others emotions?

Empath

Perceiving emotions is probably one of the most fundamental aspects for empaths.
For me, I'd say it's more like experiencing the emotions as if they were my own. I do regularly ask the question, where did this emotion come me from. Yet, I find that it is more powerful to couple that question with the question: 'Is this emotion helping me in any way.' Then the choice is simply to absorb the emotion or to just let it float on by. Sometimes it is preferred to absorb another person's anger or agitation slightly. It is not that we want to become angry people. Rather, we want to understand their point of view better. Having our emotions more aligned to theirs gives better comprehension and perspective of any issue they are trying to bring to attention. When we absorb, we also share in their ability to respond. For instance, in facing an angry child, when we absorb slightly, we then have the option to delve deeper into the emotion. We might find that perhaps there is some fear underneath the anger that they are feeling frustrated with. We can then 'lend' our own understanding of that fear as a response.
Now this is not to say that everyone should be open to emotions all the time. Rather, for most, it might be perfect to have a barrier of sorts. Perceiving your skin as that barrier is a perfect example. This mode enables someone to do certain tasks, while still being sensitive enough to the emotional landscape to respond well to any coming circumstance. When I mention emotional landscapes, I mean that sometimes the person we contracted the emotion from is not the actual source of the emotion. Many times, the person we are in contact with probably contracted the emotion from someone else. This could go on until we find the eventual 'ground zero'. In instances like this, the 'explorer' mode is very helpful.
Living a more emotionally balanced life for empaths can be as simple as becoming adept in switching between these two 'mode'. In fact this should be one of tbe first things covered if we ever get together to make an 'Empath's and Intuitive's Body of Knowledge'.

Hi there now I've been lost for a while, can you help me?

Request a Reading

Hi there friend
First of all, know that you can hold a candle to anyone you so wish. Perhaps they won't see it, yet you can hold it up all the same.
Sometimes, to feel comfortable we put up boundaries and walls. So that we can move freely inside our homes, we put up sturdy walls that protect us from the inquisitive gaze of passer-bys. We put up heavy curtains and glazed windows so that we can rest peacefully in privacy. Just remember, curtains can be drawn to enjoy the views. Windows can be opened to let in the cheerful breeze. And doors can be unlocked so you can enjoy the outdoors and you can invite loving friends to your indoors.
And finally, sometimes after a long day, it's just so nice to prepare a hot, steamy bubble bath. Just immerse yourself in relaxing waters while the bubble bath cleanse you. Then you relax, recuperate and look forward to a new day.
Likewise it is in life. It is perfectly fine if we erect boundaries around ourselves. Sometimes we need some seclusion. And since it is us who put up the walls, we can just as easily put in doors. We don't have to take down whole walls until we are ready. Whatever we have been through, there is healing. A cleansing and return to our original selves. Like a hot bath, cleansing and healing can be quite enjoyable. And after healing, it is time to dream, to take in the vigors of life. To expand our views and perspectives as we process and learn from all we've been through. And thus thus we start to create a new day better than the last.
Lots of love and light to you, soul114-4 ;) .

p.s: no soul is ever lost, they are just still on adventures or coming home from adventures.

Hi @merin-eliz
I can understand your dilemma. Something that I have been telling my friends for years is the kingdom is given to those who let go of the kingdom. More specifically, the advisors regularly have more power than the one on the throne. It is usually the agenda of the advisors that are brought to fruition. Yet positions of power are enticing, are they not?
Perhaps I should go more in depth about vibrations. Good vibrations is not just about feeling good. There is the need for proof of vibrations. Proof of vibrations could mean checks coming in the mail, a meeting with a person of influence or just about anything that is aligned with reachung your goals. Some people can sense and feel energies and it is easier for them to diagnose their state of vibrations. For a writer, an influx of energy would most probably manifest in the form of ideas for writing. For an orator, the energies would manifest in the form of an energetic speech. For a salesman, the energies would manifest in the form of attracting quality clients. These manifestations can in turn be converted into money, influence and so on. The art of transmutation is merely that of transmuting source energy to forms more usable.

Empath Parent/Empath Child Tips?

Empath

Hi @empathinboston
My father was an empath/psychic, my brother is a pretty strong empath and my children are all empaths too it seems.
When I was small, my father used to take us on outings regularly. Sometimes it was the seaside, sometimes to a secluded stream or waterfall, sometime to a nature retreat. I really felt at ease just sitting beneath the large expansive sky and being able to let my thoughts and imagination flow freely. My father really knew what he was doing.
One of my daughters had a habut of throwing really bad tantrums. Through dealing with her tantrums, I became more aware of specific channels where we empathucally share emotions. For instance, when she was in a really bad mood, I try not to look at her directly, for that seems to increase the absorption the anger in her. Also if she is screaming, then I wear earphones, for much the same reason. I then ground the emotions within her that are making her upset. It was also very important to let her absorb feelings of patience. For small children, its very difficult to explain concepts. It is much easier to broadcast those positive feelings and let them absorb them. A very good way is through hugging and positive conversation. So there are these two aspects, each important - cleaning negative energies and supplying positive energies. The cleaning part might be slightly more important initially.
A lot of people go through spiritual development with much pain and struggle. This was very much the same for me at one point. Under my father's guidance, it went quite smoothly. Yet when I started out on my own, I hit many bumps and even roadblocks. There are many systems that can really help. One of them is yoga. Not just the joga poses, but also the intellectual, energetic, and emotional aspects. Getting these in balance leads to a more blissful process. There is also a system hidden within Christian communities that very few know of. They are however very secretive and reclusive.
I find it very interesting that you mentioned Harry Potter. That is very much how it is for empaths. We need to honor who we are yet maintain some secrecy from those who are not ready to accept us.

Requesting a reading on what field to work in.

Request a Reading

Hi merin-eliz
First off, I think both Cheshire Cat's and Angel's reading are on target. I'd just like to say, don't worry about the money part too much. Money can be seen as a form of energy, so just open yourself up to all venues that allow money to come in. Angel sees someone older and grey haired, which can refer an older version of you. It can also refer to a version of you that is an expert in a field. This takes us back to the question of money as energy. When you do something you love, you are vibrant with energy. This energy you can initially use to perform your job really well. You might learn many things, which I am sure you will enjoy, maintaining and perhaps even enhancing your vibrations. With high vibrations come opportunities. Perhaps you will put your knowledge into the form of blogs, books and talks. People tend to notice those with high energy and people with high energy tend to attract people who can further their cause. Perhaps you will get the ears of those who have significant influence.
I agree very much with Angel that working with nature is very spiritual. It helps to balance the various aspects of your life and self, unlocking your potential to do much more than you previously felt possible.

Negative feelings surrounding one particular person

Empath

@calmidwester
I agree very much with you, Yes, you can do this ;), very much.

@cat-whisperer
Thank you. Softly said, yet deeply felt. I will have to stalk you to sample more of your energies, hehe.

@hop-daddy
As always, hop-daddy, you have the most intriguing, yet essential questions.
I decided to do a google search of the term, and found there was a book written that uses the term as its title. I haven't read the book, but it seems it's about telepathic mind-control, not exactly what I was referring to when I used the term myself, hehe. I guess to clarify, I would say psychic dominance refers to a 'natural' dominance over a dominion as opposed to psychic domineering. Much in the same way as a grizzly bear would be more dominant than say a bobcat, some people would have stronger dominance than others.
Each time two people meet, a small dance is initiated. Their energies mingle and their beliefs come into contact with each other. The one with stronger will or confidence usually comes out dominant. This process happens either consciously or unconsciously. Through this process, it is actually possible for an aware empath to influence the beliefs of a narc through methods that are not outwardly confrontational. Non-confrontational influence through subtle energy mingling. As for whether it is common or rare, I'd say that it is inherent everywhere, like rhe concept of gravity. It is just the we need to be more consciously aware of its workings, thus be able to utilize it in the most yniversally beneficial way.
I'd like to add that this 'battle for domimance' is not just between humans. It can happen that a person visits an emotionally charged building and is dominated by its energies. Or maybe a distressed person goes to a serene lake and is 'dominated' by its calming energies. In the latter case, that would mean that the lake aligns the person to its own calming energies. Quite a desirable effect.
I must admit, that I myself am still exploring and refining my understanding of this concept. Yet at times, I can't help but remember that Robert Bruce (the author) mentioned that there are super-psychics influencing the going-ons in the world. I guess we should hope that these supers have our best interests at heart.

Negative feelings surrounding one particular person

Empath

Hi, this is a very interesting topic, thanks for bringing it up. I wonder if you are familiar with the concept of psychic dominance and psychic landscapes. I am not going to go in-depth with the theories, just a basic outline if you will. The concept goes like this, whenever more than one psyche interact, there will be a collective consciousness between them. If the group consists of three people them this collective is shared by the three people. Usually, this collective is dominated by a one of the members either personally or through a subgroup of the collective. This ability to influence the collective consciousness is what is called psychic dominance. Sometimes this dominance happens consciously, sometimes it happens unconsciously. Hop Daddy for instance has strong psychic dominance, it is noticable ;) and quite intriguing.
Now let's focus on the collective of two people. When one of the two dominate the collective, this means that his/her thoughts and emotions dominate and influence the collective. This does not mean that each member directly feels the emotion or thoughts of the other. What they feel is the mixture of thoughts and emotional input accumulated over time during the relationship. So, working with this theory, it means that if we clean the collective consciousness of old emotions, it would make it harder for those situations to occur. If we do not clean it, then those situations (feelings) tend to surface. To gain dominance over this collective, simply build up your capability for psychic dominance, which is a variation of shielding. In other words, the more adept you are at shielding the stronger your potential for psychic dominance.
Now then lets get into more practical parts. @calmidwester we will deal here with the 'run-time' situation. Firstly, in the interaction, be aware of your own thoughts and emotions. Be particularly aware of the feelings of resentment and 'fear' of your partner being dishonest and holding back his feelings. Whats important here is that you do not react in the way that these emotion are triggering you to. Then, once that particular emotion has dissipated somewhat, try to input, with action (such as speech), your preferred emotion. This is responding. Now, if the emotion you are dealing with is resentment, what you should input would be tolerance. These two steps may take some practice. I do find that dealing with anxious babies is very good practice, and that it is easier than dealing with adults. It is much harder still when dealing with conscious psychics. Lets have a look at an example 'run' with a baby. Now then, the situation might be that the baby is crying and you are trying to calm him/her. As you pick them up, notice any anxiety. Delve deeper, notice if you are internally saying 'please stop' and feeling some frustration. Connect to this frustration. Now, tell yourself its okay. Tell the baby its okay. Don't force anything, don't force yourself to be calm, just be aware. Now notice the level of frustration, did it decrease? Just continue dissipating that energy of frustration until perhaps you can input some loving, calm energy, and by then the situation is dealt with remarkably, and people are praising your dexterity with infants.
Perhaps, additionally, as an aid, you can visualize emotion bars next to the person you are interacting with. These become more precise with practice and can be very convenient not just in diplomatic interactions, but also in negotiations and during any sales process. These visuals are a representation of underlying information your empathic senses gathered. Much like a monitor displaying information gathered by an MRI.
So wrapping up, just remember that if you want to, and are willing to be responsible, there are many methods that can help you achieve your goals. It is up to you to determine whether those goals are worthwhile and how much effort you will put into their realization. As for me, I would say that nurturing relationships are definitely top priority ;).
Cheers.

When life brings you lots of lemons

Empath

Oh yes, I wanted to mention somewhere else, but I'll mention it briefly here. Joker makes Batman and Batman makes Joker. For everyone we meet or bring into our life, there is actually something in them that we 'need'. For instance, for the empath, the narc gives ample lessons of how to manipulate, insulate and such. Let's change this slightly. Reword manipulate to transmute and reword insulate to shielding. These are actually areas that empaths need to work on the be more complete or reach higher levels of perfection. As for the narc, the narc can learn a lot from the empath, unfortunately, it's not that simple. The narc will probably need to absorb from the empath. So here this experience can be like sour grapes. Yet if mixed properly, even sour grapes can make really good wine. And the developed empath is that catalyst to make such wine.

When life brings you lots of lemons

Empath

Hi guys,
You know, when life keeps giving you lemons, you have a few choices. One is that you can turn them into lemonade, another is that you can stop biting into the lemons. Maybe you don't want to make lemonade, that's fine, just remember, you also don't need to bite into the lemons life gives you. If it's life then it means there's abundance. So that means there are also strawberries, gooseberries, plums, apples, everything. Don't look for strawberries in lemons, just understand that if life can give you lemons, it can also give you strawberries. Only that if you're busy biting into the lemon, you probably squinted your eyes somewhat that its hard to notice where you can get those strawberries. So, take a pause, and if you notice what you are given is a lemon, don't bite into it. Let it go, leave it in that pile for someone who wants to make lemonade. Instead, make your way to those fields of ripe strawberries or apricots or raspberries or whatever you want to try for the moment.
There are times, when you are in as part of the farms where everyone is sampling lemons. That's quite alright, again you don't have to take what is handed to you. Its okay, its just a matter of preference. Just make your way to those strawberries, and maybe hand out some to those who've had a bit too much lemons themselves.

@lotusfly

Really glad you enjoyed them :). You're welcome.

@lucky-seven

I googled healing, and google gave me this:

the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again.

"the gift of healing"

Google also listed some synonyms for healing and one of them was 'ease'. And that synonym fitted perfectly, since the opposite of healing would then be dis-ease. So healing would be to rid someone of any disease that afflicted them, to make them comfortable again. Yet what does it mean to be comfortable, what is being comfortable for? Perhaps its to be comfortable being human so that we can do what humans do. One of the things humans do particular well is to expand, explore and discover, to exercise our freedom in as many was as we can. It is an inherent human thing to be everything we can be. If at all possible we probably wouldn't acknowledge any limits. Perhaps it is possible. And perhaps to make it possible, we only need to constantly return to our natural state of being, that of being free and united in love. Maybe healing isn't about righting wrongs but about constant replenishment in order to fulfill our human appetite to perpetually expand our horizons.

Centuries ago, when the great explorers undertook their adventures, courage was needed, without question. For even if they didn't face 'savage' and sometimes hostile locals, even if they could face vicious storms and miraculously avoid life-threatening illnesses, they would still have to face the weariness of the journey. That was a tax that was inherent in any adventure. If they, and us, ever succumb to a fear of that tax, would we ever see East, West and Middle Earth come together? Yet today, while we see a global map perfected by centuries of cartography and hundreds of satellites, we still see political maps where communities are divided by unseen forces. Unseen, yet not un-felt. Truly, a lot of exploration still needs to be done, thus courage is needed. Courage and a lot of healing.

Courage is a product of trust, to trust that anything can be healed, even the most tragic of traumas. With this trust, an explorer can courageously set forth, even face the danger of the deepest traumas, to bring back the light of truth and bring her community to further enlightenment. To hurt and then to heal is how we realize that trust. Trust is a light that shines in the darkest of caves. Deep unwavering trust is like the sun, brighter than even the day itself. Healing is the rising of the sun. And the night is merely a time to reflect, patiently awaiting the sunrise.

When we are free, we are courageous, we are brave, we are full of life. When we are free, we exercise free will. There really is no wrong. It is simply a state of being. Perhaps we may do something that brings us out of that state. Yet trust that there is healing for anything you might encounter and you can easily return to that state. When you understand this, you will know there is no need to fear the unknown, no need to fear the dark. Thus your fear is healed and you become free of it. Don't fear the journey, but complete it, heal the mis-takes, choose your own cards. As an empath, you are an explorer. Isn't each and every empath undertaking a great and exciting journey to the centre of their being? I wonder what wondrous stories and wisdom you will bring back to fascinate your community.

When you ask about the solar plexus, yes, its true this particular chakra can channel to the spiritual level. According to some systems, when a person leaves this physical plane, his energies could leave through two main pathways, the solar plexus or the crown chakra. It could actually be more comfortable for some to exit via the solar plexus. The solar plexus is also a good repository for energy, an energy battery of sorts. According to some systems, there are 114 chakras and 72,000 nadis. Most modern interpretations don't mention this, and focus instead on the essential 7. This is actually a good way to go about it, since in most cases adequate work needs to be done on the essential 7 before a practitioner starts to become aware of the other chakras. Unfortunately, some interpretations oversimplify and perhaps some information is lost in translation. Fortunately, you do not have to search far for this information, just search within, it's all there. The whole universe is there, waiting to be explored.

When you talk about the future, it's nice to know that there are lovely events waiting for you. I'm quite sure you are much deserving of some lovely events. Cherish the moments and enjoy them fully. Replenish, rejuvenate and stock up on the good times. Don't worry about the sad events coming later, perhaps you will master your karma and change your destiny, like a starship changes destination. Talking about starships and futures, there was this really great movie that came out end of last year, titled "Passengers".  In it the characters played by Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt find that sometimes the best planned out purpose fade in comparison to the purpose they find in the moment.

As for your first question, you know I can't answer that. A good magician never reveals his tricks ;).

Lots of love and light everyone.

I've been meaning to talk about cats for some time, ever since I read that post about connecting with small children. Yes, definitely there is an unspoken language with cats or any animal. There are cats that say a lot, there are cats that are mystical and there are cats that are healers. The healer cats are pretty amazing.

@calmidwester
I'm glad thay are of help, though I can't take full credit for it, I am merely channeling the energies prevalent in these forums, energy contributed by each member here ;)

@lucky-seven
Those are really good questions, thanks for asking.
Freedom is a necessity of love, while love is the essence of life. Love is truth. If something doesn't free you, then perhaps that something is weak in love. There is a saying, the best of frirnds is one that sets you free.
So, first, let's talk about free will. Free will simply means this, that you are free to point the power of your will in any direction you desire. Take the as universe an example, the universe does what it wants, while being aware of and taking into account everything. The universe's will is free of any doubts, worries, or fear. The universe is not held back or shackled. When we are aligned spiritually, then we will be like the universe, an image of the universe, free to point our willpower any which way, not on a whim but according to conscious direction. The free person does not play dice with her life, she doesn't play pick a card. She knows exactly what she wants and manifests it. She is an image of the universe and is in clear empathy with the universe.
Secondly, what I'm suggesting is a holistic approach. Its very hard to heal, focusing on just one aspect, yet its very easy to heal with an integrated approach. However, to heal, first take out the glass shard from the wound., them clean the wound. An emotional trauma is like a glass shard still stuck in a person's emotional body. Any physical healing done without realeasing the trauma merely heals the physical symptoms while leaving the underlying cause unaddressed. So here, the best way is a holistic approach.
When talking about Steve Jobs, I can't really say anything for certain, for the hypothetical illustration was merely meant as an example to elaborate a concept. Yet, working on that concept, I would say that Steve Jobs was quite happy with what he's achieved and probably wanted some time out to rest and recuperate. Those who can travel have probably come across these rest areas.
Yes, taking a wrong path is 'self'. In actuality there are no wrong paths in an absolute sense. Wrong paths only exist in relative sense. For instance, say if someone wanted to be an engineer, yet because of some 'mistake' he instead studied architecture. He then proceeds into his career but after moving here and there, he finds himself in PR. After a few years, he discovers that he enjoys his work very much and wouldn't trade it for the world. Only after the fact does he realize there were no mistakes. The flow will go whatever way it wants, its only promise is that he who chooses will find happiness and fulfillment. There is really no other way to happiness. It is a choice, everyone is free to flow or not to flow. To flow means to excercise that choice, even if the choice is not to flow. Not going with the flow just means that the person will encounter staggering resistance, but he will feel free and he will be happy. Maybe not successful, but happy and fulfilled. It is ony in resisting the flow that someone comes across pain and suffering. So, if someone want to be happy, fulfilled and successful, choose to go with the flow, and they will perceive as if everything is going their way. They will also feel very alive because what's happening is out of choice.
Lucky seven, sad, traumatic events are the things that makes one lose purpose in life. It takes one out of the state of living life purposefully and in a meaningful way. So, if you had the chance, would you willingly choose to heal those wounds? What does it mean to you to have those wounds healed? What kind of life are you looking forward to once those wounds are healed? Sometimes, when someone has big dreams, seemingly magical powers come to them, are you willing to accept the responsibility of those powers? Understand that life after healing can never be the same as the life before healing, and that you will possibly have to let go of all previous preconceived notions of life.
Right now, the focus is not whether you have manifested your life purpose. Rather the question should be: 'Now that it is apparent that I still have some life left, what can I do to make the life that I have left meaningful and purposeful'. And, if you suddenly manifest that purpose in a speedy amount of time, then simply manifest a new purpose. Look forward to a life where you consistently create meaning. Live life fully.
When you are tired, it is quite ok to rest and relax. Recuperate. When you are tired, then it is time for some healing. You can choose not to heal if you want to, but it will be hard to manifest. Sometimes some people prefer hard challenge. Life is not life if you don't have fun. So, as long as it's fun and enjoyable, its quite okay to take on heavy burdens. If it's no longer fun and enjoyable, perhaps its time to rest. As they say, tomorrow's another day.

I should add that sometimes, questions are the answer. To be more exact, empowering questions are the answer.
In any challengong situation, we should ask ourselves: how is this situation helping me or what is good abput this situation.
Another good question to ask is when something good happens, ask, what could happen that can make this even more wonderful. Then brace yourself, for there is a limit to the amount of joy that you are willing to feel before disbelief sets in.
So these are two simple questions that help to make life magical. Yet, please explore, for there are many more questions we should be asking ourselves throughout our lives.
A phrase I heard once goes like this: 'If you don't like the answers you receive, ask better questions.'
Life answers our questions every single moment. Perhaps we should make a habit of asking questions, the answers to which will bring enjoyment and fulfillmemt.

In the taoist system, it is believed that every organ is associated with certain emotions and virtues. If a certain emotion is unbalanced or a certain virtue lacking, the organs associated with them will start to catch disease. Left alone, they will start to deteriorate and cause chronic diseases. A holistic approach to this would be to heal on the physical, emotional and spiritual level. To heal on the physical level, that's where we take supplements and enact a healthy lifestyle. On the emotional level, we build relationships and work towards good causes. On the spiritual level however, it is abput living a purposeful life. This is where it gets confusing for some. Living a purposeful life is not about living life for some purpose or cause, but to live life in a way that makes it meaningful and purposeful. For instance a person may live his whole life striving to advance a cause, yet at the end of his life, when he looks back at it, he may ask what was the point of all this. Another person however,may live a simple, perhaps zenlike life, but finds meaning in every moment. When they eventually look bavk on their life, they marvel at how intricately wonderful it had been, that they wouldn't have wanted it any other way. This kind of life is the life after healing. Belief that you too can have a life like that is essential to the healing process. Lucky seven, when I mentioned the songs and stories, what I meant was the dreams that vibrate and pulsate within, each moment knocking on the door of your heart, asking for it's moment in the light. This dream is different for everyone, at their essence they have a distinct similarity, that they are inspirational, that they have spirit. For one person it may be to write books, for another it could be to get on stage and orate, and for another still, it could be to plan and build a most magnificient work of architecture. When people free themselves to live miraculous lives, amazing things happen.
Lets look at this from another angle. If you were praying to god or the universe to give you another chanve at life, what would you promise? Would you promise to make life easier for the poor? Perhaps you would promise to make sure the people around you feel loved. Perhaps you might promise to take out the ideas you have put away in a box, and make the dreams become reality. Let's imagine that Steve Jobs promised god such a thing. Lets imagine Steve Jobs asked god for another chance at life, so that he could bring mobile connectivity to everyone on the face of this earth. Then, once he's done that, god is free to take him away, the vision fulfilled. Its a romantic repainting for sure, yet sometime we should ask ourselves, if we asked god for another chance in life, what would we promise in return, what would we want to achieve that would make that chance meaningful.
We are the painters on the canvas of life, we are the composers of fabric of destiny, we are the makers of dreams, once we realize that, then truly the world is our oyster.
The successful artist does not struggle, they are free to be as poor as they want or as rich as they want. Every empath is an artist, we absorb the colors of life on the brush of our souls. Thus, what reality will we paint with it?

Empath Related Illnesses

Empath

@lucky-seven. Yes, well done lucky seven, I do think you have succeeded in becoming more receptive and acceptive of your empathic gifts. ME is just one of possibly many mystery illnesses that many empaths face. I agree with you and you perceived right, though she says she has hope, yet there is an underlying sadness. Let's pray she stays strong.
Part of healing is believing in healing the healing process and another part of healing is believing in the life after healing. Sometimes empaths take on the burden of the world, so their belief needs to be one that can take on the world.
The traumas that they faced merely created a need for healing, and healing created the need for a brilliant vision, a reason to live and prosper.
As they heal, the empaths grow and overcome the physical, emotional, and social burdens they face and as they do so they discover, develop and distinguish an inner strength. With this now shining inner strengh, the empath can realize the vision that was and is the reason they were searching. The clearer the vision, the stronger their belief in the life after healing.
About the stomach problems, it is possibly related wuth emotional traumas on many levels. In alternative healing circles, healing past traumas have led to many cases of near miraculous effects. What's most important is what happens post healing. The healed persons are free to express the songs and stories they were born to manifest. They live happy and fulfilled lives. Yet they fully understand the fragility of life and thus willingly spread joy to the rest of humanity.

Relationship Between Stress And Empathy?

Empath

This discussion bring to the fore some very good points. I quite agree with how when stressed, we do tend to be more sensitive. There is a theory where if you imagine awareness a a small circle, everything that is inside of the circle are things you are aware of and anything outside is that which you are unaware of. Focusing this circle into a tiny dot means that you are acutely aware of a particular sense or channel of information, wile filtering out other information. Expanding this circle means you are aware of many sources of information simultanesously perhaps even pass the limits of comprehension. Moving this circle means that you take in an alternative source of information.
My theory here is that when we are stressed out, the self / body defocuses from the normal physical senses and instead relies more on the empathic senses for information. When cortisol levels rise it has been known that many body functions will shut down. To counter this loss of source of information, the self then relies more on other sources, among them the empathic and psychic senses.

Sleep issues

Empath

Hi there. You know, when in the process of awakening, its common to experience sleepless nights. A major part of this due to your body adjusting to a signifivant increase of information. Where before you had five senses, now you may have tens, even hundreds of senses and this can be overwhelming for the body. Yet it is not right to merely shut off these extra senses, thus the body need to adapt to the increase of information in some way.
So, what's needed is a two prong approach. Cleanse/ground and afterwards energize. Like hop daddy suggested, a salt soak is a really good way to cleanse off the days energies. You can supplement this with further grounding and flushing excercises. The second step is to absorb energy. This can be done with prana breathing, energy works or empathic absorption. This second step will energize you quite a bit that you won't feel sleepy for awhile, and in fact feel quite refreshed and alert. Perhaps it is a good time to go into some contemplative or transcendental meditation. Or, perhaps do some excercises aimed at improving integration of the extra senses. After some time you should feel ready for sleep. Not too tired and still somewhat alert, but most importantly, free from the day's attachments, and this is the perfect condition for sleep.

Not sure what happened

Psychic and Paranormal

Hi @warden
What does the smell remind you of?
For instance, when I am around people, there are certain smells that I can detect. The smells indicate whether the person is happy, fearful, agitated, and so on. Its a sixth sense expansion of the olfactory senses. There is this guardian spirit, he smells of Jasmine flowers, and he sometimes lingers outside my front door. Sometimes other people smell Jasmines too, and that creates interesting and sometimes funny conversations. I wonder what your friend smells like.

More female empaths than male?

Empath

Kit Kat:
Trevor Lewis:

The easy answer is - ABSOLUTELY!

I usually find that men get outnumbered at least three or four to one (some people would put it as high as ten to one).  It gets more complex when you start to factor in how much more willing women are to talk about their emotions.  Now that I am "out of the closet" as an empath, I am starting to discover how many men are empaths, they just don't talk about it. Men get taught very early on that it is not OK to be sensitive so it gets hidden.

So do you think that it's possible to stop yourself from being an empath? I'm just curious :) I have a narcissistic friend who, when he describes his childhood, sounds like he used to be an empath, but he chose to bury his empathic side underneath narcissism, a choice that he's currently trying to undo....

It's possible, yes. Empathy and narcissism are just two sides of the same coin. To understand narcissism fully, you have to understand empathy fully, and vice versa. Its sounds like when he finally embraces empathy, he will reach a high degree of wholeness. When you know yourself, you know the universe, and you know the two are not separate.

The thing about beliefs is that they are merely clouds. For a brief moment, they define the view of the sky, yet they are not the sky. If you have ugly clouds, then you might say what a gloomy sky or what a gloomy day. If you have georgeous clouds, you might say what a beautiful day. But it's when there are no clouds that you see Mr Blue Sky.
Likewise, beliefs that no longer serve lead to perceiving that life is terrible. Empowering beliefs lead to perceiving life as beautiful. While not holding on to any belief means that you are free to live any life you want, that you are Blue Skies.

Talking Weird Stuff

Psychic and Paranormal

@hop-daddy
A walk-in can be said to be rare, as it depends on grace and acceptance of grace. I do believe however that most people experience it at one time or another in their lives, with most not understanding what it is, thus eventually rejecting grace. A spirit-swap on the other hand is something that anyone can achieve , just that most tend to get distracted and wander off course for a while. In a spirit-swap, it is just a changing of driver in the driver seat from the current driving self to a higher self. What may actually be happening is that the awareness is travelling from one self to a higher version of self. The awareness is the witnessing self.
This is not to be confused with the awakening of subtle bodies, for instance the awakening of the etheric body, which brings with it the experience of empathy and the awakening of the astral body which brings with it the experience of psychic phenomena, telepathy and astral travel. These awakenings are events that happen concurrent with swap-ins. Awakenings of the subtle bodies are akin to upgrades of the vehicle, while change of spirit is an upgrade of driver. The witness is that which evaluates these and sends feedback back to the 'owner' and thus the owner makes suitable adjustments.
As to the why of all of this, there can be as many meanings as there are people, yet one of them is this: a person who knows the dark is capable of truly appreciating the light. Only one who can stay in constant appreciation of the light can be a constant companion of the light. In other words only one who can live in a constant state of love and gratitude can bear to be with the Holy Spirit for any length of time.
This does not mean, however, that everyone needs to live dark lives before they can live happy lives. Rather it is preferred to live happy live This is where the gift of empathy comes in, meeting with those not so well off, we can empathically absorb their experience and understand it from a first hand perspective. This is possibly what happened with Mother Theresa. She experienced their pain, understood their pain, clear of judgements, and in doing so understood the light and was thus willing to accept and appreciate light. Some people experience traumatic experiences, and in understanding these experiences, understood the light. Proof of their understanding is their compassionate nature, like a certain media mogul (I heard she's retired).

P.S: love and gratitude here is an inherent state of being, as opposed to the idea of living in love and gratitude.

A Strong "Feeling" Of Knowing That's Usually Correct?

Psychic and Paranormal

@rocky-wolfe
Direct knowing can be strange and abnormal, more so in a world where few people can understand what you experience. This is like the man who can see in a land of people who are blind and can not see. If this man talks about colors, who can understand him, and who will believe him. The more he talks, the crazier he seems and someday he might believe this himself. Yet, if he doesn't express it, if he denies it and it disappears, that will truly be a great loss. He has in that instance, a true dilemma. That is where he understands that his gift does not require the acknowledgement of others, but the acknowledgement of himself. As long as he acknowledges his own gift, he does not require thr acknowledgement of others. And for this man that sees, acknowledging his gift is by utilising his gift in whatever work he does. His works and achievements acknowledge his gifts, while people acknowledge his achievements. He will seem divine and godly to others, yet he is just a man who sees in a land of those who do not see.

Talking Weird Stuff

Psychic and Paranormal

Hi guys, a walk-in and spirit swap are quite similar, yet are not the same. With a walk-in a very high level spirit enters for a very brief moment, maybe a few minute, a few hours or perhaps days. With a swap, the spirit is swapped for a higher level spirit, a future self. This swapping is part of the journey, it brings with it changing of tendencies, perspectives, habits, and upgrading of abilities. After a swap, changes in beliefs, sometimes subtle, sometimes abrupt, tend to happen.
Its possible that in reality no swapping occured, just that our awareness moves from one spirit to the next, like changing vehicles. With a walk-in, a higher spirit, perhaps maybe even the Holy Ghost, comes in and takes over for a brief moment. The swap-in is an event due to effort, whether conscious of unconscious, guided or unguided, while the walk-in is due to grace.
After experiencing swaps and walk-ins multiple times, we can understand that at our essence we are the nothingness that is the canvas for all creation, and spirit is the pen that draws the drawing, and between the pen and the canvas is the drawing that is creation.

Talking Weird Stuff

Psychic and Paranormal

@corey-easton
Yes, that does sound like a spirit swap. I remember I had a spirit-swap like that before, with the birds and all. It gives perspective to the phrase we are more than our body, when we are also more than our 'spirit'. I feel that 'spirit-swaps' are integral to understanding unity and overcoming duality. Perhaps someday I will write about this somewhere.

An Educated Empath Is a Sociopath’s Worst Nightmare

Empath

That is a really good article Rene. I quite agree with it.
Trouble spots occur when empaths don't play a leadership or guiding or advisory role. I believe empaths should play a central role in balancing a certain area, community or organization. While sociopaths and narcissist initially seem negative, if guided, they are capable of doing amazingly beneficial things. A narcissist or sociapath under guidance however, does need constant reminders and more. Quite a heavy responsiblity for any empath yet essential if our world is to move forward positively.

Scary Dream Where I Saw Myself From Above The Bed

Dreams

Yes, you are very welcome, I'm glad to hear we are able to help you :).

@hop-daddy, thank you, it was easy for me to make a logical interpretation when your own interpretation already cleared most of the way.

Work

Empath

Hop Daddy:

@tigerlily:

Everyone has given you pretty good advice. I just had a few things to add. First off, we empaths are generally the "steady-eddie" reliable people in a work environment. It's easy for us to be taken for granted. In your case I wonder if you are so good at what you are doing that management doesn't want to upset that department by promoting you? It's like playing Jenga, if you yank out the main piece the whole thing crashes. Maybe they'd rather keep you there to keep a good thing going?

Secondly, I think your life path plays into this. We empaths should all know there are no coincidences. There is a reason why you are still working there and are doing what you are doing. At some point you will get promoted or perhaps decide to leave to work elsewhere. But if you can separate yourself from the feelings of being passed over, ask yourself are you otherwise happy with who you are and what you do at work? If the answer is yes, you may just be exactly where you should be (for now).

The last thing I want to touch on is the topic of manifesting good things in your life. Has there ever been a point in your life where you had the Midas touch and everything was going exceedingly well for a period of time? Or maybe you've noticed a friend or co-worker pretty much get everything they want in life and be really happy (even when most people would say they don't deserve it)? I don't know if this fits you and your situation. But I know from my experiences with myself and other empaths that we deal with so much negative every day that we can easily get mired down in the negativity that we deal with. And that tends to block good things from coming to you. Manifesting is really the art of clearing your mind, stop labelling and judging things, and allow good things to come to you.

I wonder if maybe you have a little of all three of the above going on? If so, I hope my comments help. I'm actually going to post a topic about manifesting later. I think it is a topic that is very important and really isn't covered much on community sites like this.

@hop-daddy

I enjoyed reading this, its really good insight. I dare say it seems you've raised a level. I'm looking forward to reading your article.

Scary Dream Where I Saw Myself From Above The Bed

Dreams

Hi @calla-lilly

I'd agree very much with hop-daddy that dreams are somewhat tricky to interpret. I have learned dream interpretation from a couple of teachers and even with years of interpretation, there is no guarantee on the accuracy. Yet, here, I will give my insight as to what this may mean, so this is more of an opinion, open for discussion.

Let us start from the most solid part, where the lighting in the dream and the room is the same. This would tend to indicate that the dream is telling about something in the present.  The part where you dream about seeing yourself, I very much agree with hop-daddy's interpretation, that you are tapping into something spiritual. The next significant clue we get is that the incident is occurring on your bed, indicating that it is very close to you perhaps even intrapersonal. In feng shui, the bedroom affects personal life and relationships, and the bed is the first thing to consider when arranging a bedroom. Next, when we look at the nightgown you are wearing, there are a few things we can consider here. First that it is a nightgown, meaning something worn when going to sleep / rest. Second that it is not the nightgown you have on, yet one in your possession. Clothes in symbolic dreams usually indicate a role you play, such as mother, friend, associate, employee, consultant, teacher, student, these are all roles. A nightgown would indicate the role that is played between the 'awake' world and the 'dream' world or 'metaphorical' world. This would indicate a role such as a shaman, an intuitive, a seer, even an empath. There should be a 'feel' about the clothing, that can give more precise indications. Finally we have the 'shadow' holding 'you' hostage. This is indicative of the shadow self holding the particular 'role' hostage. The shadow-self is what most people commonly refer to as the ego. Yet, its important to understand the the shadow-self is merely one side of the ego, the ego can be very helpful if it wants to. Now then, this particular shadow self is clad in black and white, which reminds us of the clothing worn by convicts of past eras. More than that it tells us of black and white, the story of shadows and judgement.

Now, putting it all together, we find a message that says that your shadow-self is holding a part of you hostage. That part of you being held hostage is that part that connects your spiritual self to your waking self.

@strugglebunny
I can understand why you feel deep anxiety when thinking about meeting this 'user'. I also understand that you 'have'to go. First though, we have to rephrase that, we should say that you want to go, despite the signals you get, because its the right thing to do. This simple rephrasing keeps you out of the victim mindset. This is important because 'users' always have the feeling of being the victim and they use it to justify what they do. As an empath, be careful you do not unwittingly absorb this, this is the trap they uncounsciously set, so don't fall prey. Also watch out for feeling of conflict, or a need to explain. Never explain anything to a 'user'. Instead, be mindful of your inner feelings, be alert and watch out for alien feelings intruding in your 'space'. Make a tactical retreat if you have to.
Also, before going, send energies to the situation. If you know Reiki, send reiki energy to this future situation. You can also clean the situation beforehand using ho'oponopono. Or maybe say some specific prayers. All these are very effective. Also watch out for their anger / agitation, be careful you don't absorb that. Anger is very intoxicating, and may ruin your chances of escape.
So, all the best, hope you get through this safely.

Don't judge a book by its cover...

Empath

@bunnigirl, oh sorry, I wonder how I missed mentioning that part.
You are not normal crazy, you are awakening crazy. The article will appear clear as day to you once you have completed certain phases of your awakening, you will just know.
