Sun, Moon, and Rising Sign -- complicated or harmonious?

New Age

The Enneagram..who-hoo. Spent so many yrs. exploring it. I'm a 4. Was always falling for some guy who was baad for me. INFP Meyers Briggs. (had to just do the test again!)11 Destiny in numerology/ 3 Life Path. Beauty so imp. to me, esp. in form of justice/peace in this world.... enamored of the Divine. Tho have all this Pluto/Scorpio stuff going on in 2nd Hs. so self doubt reigns pretty much.

Double 7! Love it, the philosophers of this world. Usually have my best conversations with them. I'm driven to get to the bottom of things, a true Scorpio. Stronger in resisting gets translated into being relentless abt. figuring out who I am..a bit much 4 others I find.

Sun, Moon, and Rising Sign -- complicated or harmonious?

New Age

I've got a 12th House Virgo Moon so I get it. I'm always trying to get things done...right. I work on music that I hammer myself over the head redoing over and over becs. it doesn't sound "right"! And then I put it away and listen acouple of weeks down the road and for the life of me, I can't detect what I was so sure was wrong. Having a V. South Node would likely amplify the Virgo qualities.
None of this is gospel. Depends soo much on aspects of other planets, esp. Pluto, Uranus and Neptune.
(For ex., Neptune, your Sun's ruler, is near your sUn, or will be( or maybe it's past), but it will have a big influence in your chart...makes you a liitle dreamy, sit on the couch and stare, need rest, feel overwhelmed. i'm going thru the same!)
A couple of things abt. Virgo that I think are really neat: (notice the list?? Virgos make lists, a lot.)
1- In Esoteric astrology, your rising sign is indicative of the reason your soul incarnated.
Ruth Hadikin, a British esoteric astrologer says, "With Virgo rising you are here to flow pure divine love into the world through your work. Your biggest challenge is to not become discouraged and disheartened by the imperfection of the mundane world, which could leave you feeling anxious and critical. The perfection you seek is the perfection of the soul. Let go of ideas of how things 'ought to be' and flow your love anyway."
(Sounds a lot like descrips. I've read of Pisces Sun!)

2- Jupiter, often thght. to be the source of good things...luck, generally positive enhancement of all it touches, often called "The Greater Benefic"just entered Virgo. Going over your ASC doesn't mean you will win the lottery (Ha!), but it does mean you will be offered some kind of opportunity to improve your "lot". Astrologer Steven Forrest says, "Stripped to its bones, Jupiter always asks one primary question: how have you been underestimating yourself? Its transits signal a time when new opportunities come into existence, but to seize them you must recognize that you deserve them, that you are capable of rising to them, and that old deals and compromises are finished. Trust yourself, have faith in life, and go for it: that's the spirit of Jupiter."

This is long. Time to put soapbox away. I wish you the very best with all that's on your plate. You've got a lot happening. BTW, what's EC??

Sun, Moon, and Rising Sign -- complicated or harmonious?

New Age

Just a thought...have you checked where your Nodes are?? I've found a lot, maybe even most of my "curious" doesn't-make-sense behaviour (accord. to Sun/Moon/ASC) is explained by my South Node. An incredibly cool book (which I wish was avail. in Kindle format! draddit) is by a guy named Gary Goldschneider and it's based on the Nodes..."The Secret Language of Destiny" I know...it sounds kinda out there, but it's so well written and inspiring and hopeful. I've consulted it so many times when I'd hit a road block with somebody. Made it easier to understand them. Couple of other biggies who deal with the Nodes are: Steven Forrest (The Inner Sky) and Jan Spiller (Astrology for the Soul). Both avail. in Kindle format. Truth is these 3 books changed me big time...for the better, I hope:D In case Nodes aren't on your radar, Cafe Astrology has a good descrip.http://www.cafeastrology.com/northnodesouthnode.html

Hi Daydra...I've investigated numerology over the yrs. I'm very biased, but I really like the 9 Life Path (the sum of numbers in your birthdate)! The attchd. is a bit long, but it's the description of the 9 Life Path from Hans Decoz, a celebrated master numerologist.PS-I'm in Canada too!

Your Life Path is 9
Your Life Path (sometimes called Destiny) is derived from your birth date. Your Life path is the road you are traveling. It reveals the opportunities and challenges you will face in life. Your Life Path number is the single most important information available in your Personality Chart!

You are the philanthropist, humanitarian, socially conscious, and are deeply concerned about the state of the world. You have great compassion and idealism. You are a utopian, and will spend your life trying to realize some aspect of your utopian dream, sacrificing money, time, and energy for a better world. It is in giving that you will find much satisfaction. You have a broad outlook on life. You tend to see the big picture, rather than the minute details. You naturally attract people from all walks of life who can fit into your larger plans and take over the areas you find uninteresting. The person with a 9 Life Path is rarely prejudiced or accepts social biases of people. Instead, they evaluate people on the basis of what they can do for the larger cause. They are the true egalitarian.

You are imaginative and creative, especially at harmoniously arranging the beauty already potential in the environment. These abilities can lead you into such fields as interior decorating, landscape art, and photography. But because of your strong social consciousness, you can be an effective politician, lawyer, judge, minister, teacher, healer, and environmentalist. Vocations that require self- sacrifice and have a clear social impact are common among 9s.

You are often disappointed by the realities of life: the shortcomings of others, or of yourself. Somehow, you don't want to accept the imperfections of the world, a feeling that drives you constantly to try to improve upon it. But rather than be satisfied with your efforts, and those of others, you relentlessly push on, striving for greater accomplishments. You are often unsatisfied with the results. In short, you lack the perspective that would otherwise make it possible for you to enjoy life more fully, and accept its natural limitations. You have a controlled enthusiasm and the ability to finish what you start.

A key to your personality is the necessity of sacrifice. You have to learn to let go of material possessions and relationships, the inherent lesson being that holding on too tightly to anything causes pain. Money comes to you through mysterious or unexpected ways: inheritance; the benevolence of someone who was inspired by your work; or a lucky investment. Conversely, if you pursue money for its own sake, after giving up on your larger dreams, you're likely to find yourself empty handed. The most successful and satisfying road for a nine is giving, sharing, and sacrificing for a larger goal without expecting anything in return. Your greatest chance at success is to tie your personal fortunes to an endeavor that makes the world a better place for others. Very often, this turns into a highly successful and lucrative enterprise, providing amply for you and your family. Your life rests on the axiom that the more you give, the bigger your reward.

You are romantic, but your love is more impersonal. You tend to be focused on your dreams. When you are not in harmony with your true nature, you can fall to moodiness, or become aloof, and withdrawn. You can become timid, uncertain, and ungrateful, putting the blame for your troubles on others or the world. You have a gift for examining your life objectively, and at some distance. Be honest with yourself. By openly facing your shortcomings, as well as your strengths, you develop equilibrium. You are thus able to love and better understand yourself and all of life.

I know, it will get harder, having what's right for you be what guides your decisions/interactions with her.You may be thinking, "If I don't go to the hosp., etc, how horrible I must be...becs. you've been taught you are responsible for ""her", "him". Plus a swackload of societal expectations we all labour under. Here is a question someone who really understands this stuff asked me: "Can u narrow it down. Instead of caving under this mtn. of guilt and expectation, can you sift out what you can do, what feels comfortable and right for you". Like a phone call, or maybe only going for an hr. or ten mins., or whatever. Or maybe praying for them, if that's imp.to you. Or maybe no contact, none, becs. it's poison 4 you, toxic. Whatever you choose that's right for you, it will be enough. (belv. me, I'm reciting this 2myself!!)

Your post could have been about my family. Have tried myriad things to cope...grow. Compassion 4 me seems to be the best..tho' I'm not good at it. It's incredibly difficult not to take it personally...all the warped events, but it really had nothing todo with me. Sounds weird, I know, but my family was "ill" and simply didn't know any other way. But I do. that's the work I undertake daily, ..hourly. They couldn't be kind 2 me, but I can. Thanks so much for your honest post.

Don't know if you are into astrology, but Dana Gerhardt at mooncircles.com always has articles and a ritual for the current phase of the Moon. It's a neat site.
