I can relate to your experience to a certain extent. Whenever I'm around too much negativity, I feel overwhelmed and with the biggest urge to just get in the water because I feel like a sense of cleansing and protection.
So I recently found out I'm an empath and want to know how to develop healing abilities. Or if I already have them if I've been healing others unconsciously. I'm just an unskilled empath. Any advice, and/or help is greatly appreciated. Blessings

For some time I was skeptical whether or not I was an empath and recently came to to terms with it and realized that I am. However, how do you know whether or not you have a healing ability? Any comment is greatly appreciated. Blessings.

I too had difficulty coming to terms with it and at first it may seem a bit scary or unreal but it's there. It's a million times better to acknowledge this gift. I agree with sandie's comment that acceptance makes things easier.
