What color are your eyes?
In my situation, I turned the negative energy into positive energy by realizing that I just helped my father in his last days. Seeing this as a good thing and something special is what made the change.
To process negativity out, I goto a place that is quiet and where I feel tranquility and positive energy. There I meditate to expel the unwanted energy and fill up on positive energy.
Hi Melissa. With you being sensitive to both the physical and spiritual realms, there's a few things you can do to bring peace. These are shielding, filtering, and shut down. The later being the most difficult. The best way to learn how is to either join the training here or Google how to. The link to the training group is at the top of the page. If I can help anymore, pm me and I'll do my best.
What exactly are you looking for in a pic reading? As empaths, we can only tell you what we feel and what our intuition picks up. Bare in mind, it's not always completely accurate because we pick up on other emotions unknowingly at times.
Has the thought crossed anyone's mind that an empath sometimes filters out the negativity from the surrounded energy for those who the empath is near? This thought crossed my mind today actually. My father is bed bound and diagnosed with dementia. So you can imagine the negativity. Anyway, I have had the "Blahs" today and couldn't figure out why. As I sat on the porch communing with nature, I got an overwhelming feeling of negative energy flowing into me and being filtered allowing positive to flow onto my father. I also noticed that my dads dementia got better and his bad attitude was gone.
If this has ever happened to any of you or any of you have personal insight on this, I'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance and God bless.
Dreams that repeat are the ones that are trying to tell you something and you haven't gotten the message yet, so they repeat. They can also be memories from ancestors that are recorded in your DNA (has been scientifically proven). There are 2 things that I would do. 1. Write these dreams down and compare their symbolism to your life and see if you can find the message. 2. Do an internet search on gunshot incidences throughout the 40's. You may uncover something there. Dreams like these aren't easy to interrupt and they take some time and effort to figure out. Wish I could tell you more.
Ok....try this. Go to a place where you normally feel peaceful (a spot in the woods, the local park, a river bank, etc...). Meditate and focus on releasing all of it. Visualize pushing it all out of your head. Remember it's you mind. You have control of it. You allow what goes into it and what doesn't. Take in the sound of your surroundings. I like the woods, so I take in the sound of silence. You can even do this in your bedroom if need be. Also, a lot of times, people force issues into quartz crystal, jars, mirrors (then breaks the mirror), even boxes then buries them. Once they're out, they cleanse their mental state then shield for a while. Surrounds themselves with positive evergy until they feel strong enough to work on control.
I just had a deja' vu moment and it inspired this discussion.
I'm sitting here on my laptop and my 2yo is beside me watching youtube cartoons on my phone. I was just about to post a discussion on psychometery when deja' vu struck. I've been in this exact situation in time before. My thoughts are "Why?".
In your opinion, is deja' vu a time and space within the future that we've dreamed of and forgot until that very moment, or is it God's way of giving us a do over because we made a bad life altering choice the first time? Most of us just pass off these moments as a "wow" or "weird" moment. Have any of you actually sat down and thought about it? Why we have these deja' vu moments.
There is no right or wrong answers to these questions. Really think about it and post your thoughts.
Thank you in advance.
First thing you need to do is shield yourself. This will give you some peace to start controlling it. This is what I call emergency shielding. First, find a quiet place to go. Try to clear your mind as much as possible. Second, take all the emotion that your feeling and push them out to form a shield all around you. Like a force field or bubble. Hold that image. Feel the shield all around you. Feel how all the emotions stop. After this, you need to determine which emotions are yours and which aren't. I hope this gives you some relief so you can learn to control your abilities.
What is your experience or thoughts on shielding vs filtering? I have found that there is a place for each and a time in which to use each.
Shielding - Shielding is good for a total block and shut down of all incoming emotion. I have found this very useful when an overload occurs. Using this shield give me an opportunity to cleanse myself of the negative emotion that has overloaded me without anymore being added.
Filtering - Filtering is a wonderful technique that I try to implement at all times. Using this filter allows the positive emotions to pass through and filters out the negative allowing me to stay cut off from the drama and allow others to still feel my openness to them.
There are good and bad in everything and as Marty stated, there is a fine line between help and interference. For this reason, one must institute moral, ethical, and common sense guidelines as to when and how projecting and drawing of emotions should be used. Also, Tam is right; the one who it is being used on should be informed of what you are doing and their permission given. The morality of this ability can be argued til the end of time with no real conclusion. I believe that its a personal choice whether or not one implements it into their practices. Though it can help in severe cases the empath faces when helping others, we have to also face the fact that it can also be taken to the dark side and hurt people as well. Truthfully, it is manipulation of emotions. This is why guidelines MUST be set in place when using this ability. Keep your intentions pure and keep your abilities in the light.
